Every fare on FLYCHEAP.MY is a historical fare estimate: a modelled, typical return economy fare for a given month, departing Kuala Lumpur, based on observed seasonal patterns on each route. It is not a live price and no seat is guaranteed at any figure shown here.

Monthly curves are seeded from twelve typical values per destination and reflect the recurring drivers of Malaysian outbound demand: school holidays, Hari Raya and Chinese New Year, Golden Weeks in China and Japan, European and Australian summer breaks, and destination festivals such as sakura, Songkran and Loy Krathong.

Booking windows combine a route's usual lead time (short-haul, high-frequency routes tolerate late booking; long-haul routes with one or two carriers do not) with the seasonality of the travel month. Peak months push the window earlier.

Value score weighs the typical low fare against flight time, the number of competing carriers and how many months sit near the fare floor. It is an editorial score, not a ranking of airline quality.

Other departure airports (Penang, Johor Bahru, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching) are modelled as a fare multiplier over KUL plus a list of non-stop routes; everything else is assumed to connect through Kuala Lumpur with a transit penalty.

The architecture is adapter-based: services/adapters defines a contract that a live provider (Amadeus, Skyscanner, Kiwi, Travelpayouts) can implement without touching the interface. When that happens, this notice changes.
